I'm Mannie, the person behind the lens

I'm based in Newcastle, UK, and also available for work outside of North EAST.

Hi, I'm Mannie – the 6ft-tall Nigerian guy behind the camera at Manniesnaps Media. Born and raised in the vibrant chaos of Lagos, Nigeria. I first stumbled into photography in 2017... but like most Lagosians stuck in traffic, I didn't take it seriously until 2020 — when the world stopped, and I finally had time to notice just how powerful it felt to freeze a moment in time (and not just my WiFi).


Photography makes me feel alive. There’s something powerful about seeing the world through a lens — the raw emotions, the little in-between moments, the energy. I get to meet amazing humans from all walks of life and give them something unforgettable in return. My work is all about mood, emotion, and authenticity. If it doesn’t make you feel something, it’s not done yet.

When I’m not editing photos like a mad scientist or chasing golden hour, you’ll probably find me crossing people up on the basketball court, or deep in the TikTok rabbit hole 📱👀 (don’t judge, it's research). TikTok has me in a full-blown chokehold fr 😩— one minute I’m watching a dog cook pasta, next thing I’m on editing hacks at 2AM 💀. But hey, photography keeps me grounded, inspired, and actually productive (unlike my “guitar phase” that peaked in 2018 🎸🫠).

I shoot with a Sony mirrorless camera, backed by a mix of sharp lenses and sharper instincts. I cover portraits, events, gigs, and all things unforgettable across Gateshead, Newcastle, Durham, Sunderland, Middlesbrough — basically anywhere the vibes call in the UK. I keep my rates reasonable (just enough to cover my transport and snack breaks), and I bring 100% energy, creativity, detail and good vibes to every session.
